Welcome To Arshi Waves

Guru Granth Sahib

Adi Granth (the First Book) embodies the Sacred Scriptures of the Sikhs. It personifies the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. The Tenth Master, Guru Gobind Singh, ordained the Adi Granth to be the next and the final Guru of the Sikhs, the revered ‘Holy Guru Granth Sahib’

About Arshi Waves

The Adi Granth is revered as the 11th and the final Guru of the Sikhs. All Sikhs must hold allegiance to Guru Granth Sahib.

It is a pity that Sikhs have not done justice to their history, which has seen many martyrs, the foremost of these being Guru Arjan Dev Ji and Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. The atrocities inflicted on the Gurus and their Sikhs have no parallel in history, yet very few people know about this.

Arshi Waves has been set up to propagate the teachings of Guru Granth Sahib through articles, quotes and Shabd Kirtan (lilting sounds of Gurbani). This Is a humble attempt and with the blessings of Guru Nanak we hope to make some impact on the spiritual leanings of our society.

Our mission goes beyond this, in that it aims at fostering good relations with people of other faiths to fulfill our Gurus concept of ‘one world one nation’. We aim to show how ‘a good Sikh’ and ‘a good human being’ are synonymous terms. The teachings of any doctrine are a means to an end, in that they inspire us to become good citizens of the world.

In addition to Gurbani, Arshi Waves aims at producing cultural music and literature, to share good values with people of other faiths and beliefs. What we must not do is to use religion as a basis of argument and conflict, but instead to use it as a platform for creating an environment of social cohesion and togetherness.
