Divine Insight (1)

Egotism blocks the Tenth Gate (Dasam Duar) and our ability to perceive the presence of God.
Humans have varied degrees of egotism. Extreme egotism renders it impossible to ever open this Gate.
Many of us, despite our given to flights of egotism, do have bouts of humbling experiences and occasionally experience a peek into their souls.
If, occasionally, you are fortunate enough to have brief experiences of divine presence, you must be doing something right. Focus on that, incorporate these qualities into your lifestyle.
The ways of the world make it difficult to sustain righteous lifestyle, the reason why we must seek regular guidance from our scriptures (for Sikhs Sri Guru Granth Sahib  is the Shabad Guru, the Living Light).
Disciplined, regular remembrance of the Supreme Creator keeps us grounded  The greater the humility, the greater the chance of opening the Tenth Gate.
Dasam Duar:
When the exalted mind demolishes the veil of falsehood, it opens up the door into the realm of divine consciousness (the enlightened mind
experiences a blend of divine ecstasy and bliss).
This may be a very brief experience or a prolonged state of mind. Exalted souls can realise a permanent state of bliss (Jeevan Mukt. i.e., liberated whilst still in human form).
