ਮਨ ਮੂਰਖ ਕਾਹੇ ਬਿਲਲਾਈਐ ॥
O foolish mind, why do you weep and bawl (when things don’t work out)?
ਪੁਰਬ ਲਿਖੇ ਕਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਾਈਐ ॥
You reap the rewards of your pre-ordained destiny.
ਦੂਖ ਸੂਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰੁ ॥
Remember, pain and pleasure are, all, in Lord’s Hands.
ਅਵਰ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਤੂ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੁ ॥
So, abandon all else, focus on Lord, the Redeemer.
