The Divided Panth

THE DIVIDED PANTH

Guru Nanak and the successor Gurus projected themselves as a means to an end, the end being Shabd Guru, SGGS Ji. However, the dehdhari gurus these days are claiming to be the ‘end’, and the end appears to justify the means, which includes the use of the Sikh scriptures for their own ends.

The Sikh Panth stands divided, with many self-styled gurus and babas misleading the masses. The Sikh clergy, hollow in both spirit and intent watch helplessly our heritage being diluted day by day. They are mere pawns in the hands of the unscrupulous politicians. They team up to line up their own pockets at the cost of the Panth.

Perhaps all is not lost. The world lives on hope. And, this hope is seen by many in the form of the Sikh Diaspora, many amongst who represent Sikh values far better than our home-based clergy in Amritsar. It’s the hope amongst many of the Sikh Diaspora that there is representation in the Sikh governing and administration bodies In Punjab, including the running of sanctum sanctorum Harmandar Sahib (known to the world as the Golden Temple).

I doubt this will happen in my lifetime but have full faith in the Shabd Guru SGGS that, that day is not too far way
