Threefold Karma!

Threefold Karma
There are broadly three types of karma we can perform in our current life.

(1). Those which benefit ourselves and / or our loved ones (self-centred).

(2) Deeds committed for the benefit of others (noble, unselfish conduct),

(3) Random actions not intended to benefit (1) or (2).

A slap administered on a child to point him/her in the right direction is well-intended, whilst turning a blind eye to the antics of a spoilt child is questionable.

In Pauri 35, Anand Sahib (922) Guru Amar Das Ji, questions “O mortal what good have you done coming into this world?”

We must reflect and weigh our actions and ensure the balance is predominantly in favour of (2) above.
